Currently running since the 16th of August till the 6th of October, 2012 is The First Urban Sketchers International Exhibition at Ackland Musuem at the University of North Carolina. A lot of the members from all over the world submitted sketches for this exhibition.

A majority of the proceeds from the sale of the sketches will go directly to Urban Sketchers to support their educational programs...

This is one of my little alla prima paintings of London. In this painting I introduced my own colour scheme to the scene which would have rather been harsh if i kept it as it was. Normally the London buses are a harsh warm red colour but I decided to move it to the purple tint range to support my warm purplish scheme here. I then added a yellow umbrella to compliment the whole picture.
