Capturing my little princess as she sleeps is not that easy especially when she falls asleep in my hands/shoulders. I decided to incorporate my face into these ones to add some contrast.

I have done these with a carbon pencil B and 2B on cartridge paper.

The only time I can really capture them in a peaceful bliss.

Both sketches are done with Oil Base pencil (soft).

Another opportunity to capture Kezia sleeping.

I used graphite in my A3 sketchbook.

These series of sketches are a visual diary of my daughter, Kezia, asleep. It gives me the opportunity to record her features as they change and also a record to look back to in the future.

I wasn't too happy today as I couldn't go out....circumstances beyond my control! But anyway, at home lies the beauty too and that's given me room to look inwards once again! I was still wondering how to get my day going when Kezia fell into sleep mode and voila! I quickly grabbed my sketchbook to capture another precious moment of the little princess!

This was done rather quickly, as she does stay...
