This makes number 13 in my current series on "Emotions". I have used this guy before as one of my models for this series. This is a contribution for Camille's sketchbook. This is all part of a 13 artist sketchbook exchange, called the Flying Moleskins pioneered by Dominique.



I have used my usual mixed media drawing materials for this.

This is number 12 in my current series on Emotions.

I used myself to model this piece.

It shows the emotions present as a human being passes through the storms of life. Silent but steady the effect is engraved and remains an experience to remember.




I started of this piece with graphite, then etched away with my blade, then I introduced Biro and wax crayons on off white cardboard.

This is the "usual" tiny baby emotion-The model here is my newly born daughter, "Kezia" - she came on June 9th, 2009- 14.21hrs and weighed 3.2kg. This piece was done in charcoal dust, oil base pencil and graphite on watercolour paper.

I saw this guy playing as a street entertainer at Woolwich Market on Saturday and immediately it clicked with me that he'll be great to draw in my emotions series as he was completely lost in the spirit and emotion of the music he was playing. Passers-by were all dropping coins, I did too and also I didn't forget to snap pictures too.
