ADEBANJI ALADE: MY ART, MY PASSION FOR SKETCHING
The Little Princess (The Artists Daughter) 24" x 33", Oil on Board, 2010
Kezia oil on board people portraits
My daughter, Kezia at 9 months gets her first portrait in oil.
I had a lot of problems with the distortion and foreshortening corrections that need to be made when working from photos and it seems the front hand suffered in the end. But overall I enjoyed the process and that is the gaze she gives me when she is strapped down in her bouncer and daddy is trying to paint!

Back to the farms where it all began!
On Tuesday I had an interesting trip to Lea Valley farms in search of my beloved cows. It turned out to be the pigs that stole my attention. I took loads of photos for future paintings, these are just some sketches I managed to make in between.
Still need to visit two farms for future life paintings when they are allowed on the field.
You might be wondering why I have the title as back to where it...
